DPRA was retained by a joint working committee, provincial government, First Nations and the Non-Aboriginal communities in the Temagami area to carry out a thorough analysis of economic development opportunities. The work involved a review of all background documentation on economic development activities in the Temagami area over the past 20 years; a projection of growth and development over the next 20 years; and a critical analysis of the economic development opportunities that are available. The final report provided a review of each development opportunity from primary industries through to services and tourism. A specific guideline as to potential partnership amongst various parties was also highlighted.
