Walker Brothers Quarries Limited - Social Impact Assessment
The Walker Brothers family has owned and operated a stone quarrying operation in the City of Niagara Falls for over 100 years. The project involved an application to substantially expand the area of aggregate extraction. The social impact assessment took into consideration the cumulative effects of existing operations with the proposed quarry expansion. The activities included field surveys, personal interviews with residents and business owners, and interviews with government agencies, community and recreation facilities, public interest groups and community groups.
