DPRA's view is that any adult-focused development program must be an enjoyable experience: it must be worth the time and effort away from the workplace. We also firmly believe that people learn best by doing - so simulations and group exercises are a significant part of our training packages. The methods that we use in all our training includes short lecturettes to describe particular concepts; small group discussions, group exercises and simulations to reinforce the concepts; and video taping as appropriate, to demonstrate key points.

Our courses are flexible. DPRA customizes the courses to meet the specific requirements of our clients. Adjustments can be made to the content and duration of the training to suit the clients' needs. Our instructional designers and trainers will work with the client to design and deliver training based on Instructional System Design (ISD) principles. Our staff has extensive experience in using this systematic five-phase development process. We have helped many clients translate training needs into learning objectives which served as the basis for the design, development and implementation of training that resulted in competent job performance. DPRA views the development of a training package as an interactive and collaborative activity and involves the client in each development phase to ensure complete integration of training, organizational and environmental needs. Our designers are pro-active in using the evaluation information collected in the fifth phase of the ISD process to modify a course for future audiences to ensure that the curriculum stays aligned with performance objectives.
