Socio-Economic Impact Assessment
DPRA has over twenty-five years experience with both social and socio-economic impact assessment. DPRA has designed, implemented, and documented studies to assess the socio-economic impacts of a wide range of projects and programs. We have also conducted peer reviews of work done by others. Clients include the private sector, all levels of government, and First Nations.
Consultation with affected parties is an integral aspect of most of these studies. Our staff often work closely with many interests, including residents and ratepayers, environmental groups, government agencies, and representatives of community services, industry, and business concerns. Many of our projects involve working in a multi-disciplinary team setting. DPRA staff have provided expert evidence on social impact assessment before tribunals such as the Environmental Assessment Board and the Ontario Municipal Board.
