System Tester/Technical Writer
 
 
Description:
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining materials/artifacts for system documentation, standard operating procedures, training materials, proposals, user documentation, SDLC documentation, meeting minutes and project management reports.
  • Develop and maintain process workflows, swim lanes and mock-ups.
  • Possess demonstrated experience with testing software applications.
  • Able to develop and maintain test plans, test scripts and test cases.
  • Able to identify serious issues, defects and deviation from requirement specifications.
  • Responsible for preparing status and statistical reports to communicate the test results on a continual basis to immediate management and project team members.
  • Responsible for scheduling and conducting application demonstrations and user training sessions – either virtually or in a classroom setting.
 
Required Skills & Knowledge:
  • Must be extremely detail-orientated person capable of producing high quality work products in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as work as a member of various project teams.
  • Must be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project.
  • Strong working knowledge of testing methodologies and strategies.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle.
  • Ability to respond to internal customer related issues.
  • Ability to make decision and demonstrate problem solving skills, analysis and prioritizing.
  • Ability to track defects and monitor defects until resolved.
  • Experience testing document and records management applications.
 
Preferred Elements:
  • Good communication skills, self-motivated and great organizational skills.
 
Minimum Education & Experience:
  • Associate’s degree or at least 3 years of technical writing experience and at least 3 years of testing software applications.
