Software Developer

 Description:

 Environmental Analyst

 Description:

  • Multi-faceted skills ranging from managing and executing existing environmental due diligence and UST investigation projects to performing a full range of field activities, including maintaining field equipment and vehicles.
  • Anticipated allocation of time is 50% field / field equipment-related and 50% report preparation and office-related activities
Required Skills & Knowledge:
  • Experience managing and balancing project budgets including cost estimates associated with future projects, and preparing written proposals. 
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills to discuss project particulars and budget with clients. 
  • Comfortable writing reports / letters for Petroleum Brownfields and VIC projects in which environmental liability assurance is obtained. 
  • Thorough understanding of U.S. EPA’s All Appropriate Inquiry (AAI) rule and ASTM 1527-05 for conducting Phase I environmental site assessments. 
  • Research and technical writing associated with environmental issues, such as soil and groundwater investigations and property transactions.
  • Prepare groundwater flow maps and some familiarity with GIS and/or other mapping software. 
  • Able to analyze environmental data and formulate appropriate conclusions and recommendations in a written format. 
  • Will also provide technical, regulatory, and cost engineering support to EPA and other public and private sector clients. 
  • Familiar and comfortable operating and maintaining environmental field instruments, assessing site geology, and performing soil classification. 
  • Experience diagnosing and fixing remediation systems, collecting soil and groundwater samples from push probes and hollow stem auger drilling, and performing other environmental media sampling.

 Preferred Elements:

  • 40-hour health and safety training + current 8-hour refresher training
  • Asbestos inspector license
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel and have strong oral communication skills. 
  • GIS and/or AutoCad expertise a plus.  
 
Minimum Education & Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in geology, engineering, environmental science, biology, or comparable;
  • 3 to 6 years experience conducting field activities, including performing soil and groundwater samples, oversight during drilling activities, maintenance on remediation systems, and door-to-door surveys.

Quality Assurance Software Analyst (2 positions)

 Description:

  • Development and design of integrated system test plans, user test plans, test cases and regression testing.
  • Candidate must also perform testing (function, integrated system and performance testing), problem analysis, data analysis and defect tracking. 
  
Required Skills & Knowledge:
  • Ability to identify and respond to warning messages and errors.
  • Possess an understanding of testing methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills needed in order to report testing details to software developers and high-level management audiences.
  • Strong verbal communication skills required to work with developers and management in identifying testing tasks requirements.
  • Written communication skills wil lbe utilized for creation of test documentation.
  • Must have excellent planning and organizational skills for the coordination of user acceptance tests and time estimation of tasks.
  • Candidate must be a highly motivated self starter to work independently in a fast paced and dynamic environment. 
 
Preferred Elements:
  • Experience with some of the following a plus: SourceSafe, Rational Clear Quest, Track Record, Robot, Requisite Pro, Test Manager, Quick Test Professional, Team Systems, Load Runner or Win Runner.
  • Ability to work well in a Scrum environment, write test scripts or database SQL statements is favorable.

Adaptive Planning Analyst

 Description:

  • Provide timely advice and technical support to the command’s use of Adaptive Planning tools in contingency, crisis, and exercise planning.
  • Provide technical assistance to PACOM staff in all aspects of Adaptive Planning supported planning processes and assist the command in transforming planning processes to meet established goals utilizing integrated Adaptive Planning (AP) technology capabilities.
  • Support coordinated planning effort within the theater by assisting PACOM component commands with Adaptive Planning related implementation of PACOM planning guidance and by overseeing and coordinating DPRA team planning support to the components.  
  • Support the identification of requirements to the Joint Staff J7 Adaptive Technology Working Group to enable support to PACOM Theater planning needs.
  • Provide stability/corporate knowledge on tactics, techniques and procedures in an exceptionally high operational tempo.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

Detailed knowledge of a particular phase of military deployment, transportations, and/or logistics management.
Ability to help translate domain knowledge into software applications requirements. 
 
Preferred Elements:
Recent experience working in the military or as a contractor for the military at a major command or senior level staff.
 
Minimum Education & Experience:
Combination of Bachelors Degree, Master Degree and/or experience in relevant defense planning discipline to equal 12-14 years total experience. Must possess Secret clearance but Top Secret/SCI is preferred.
